Shirk Forge

         These kitchen knives are my own design. Each one hand forged from a single piece of 5160 carbon steel. They are heavier than a typical kitchen knife, but are properly balanced and as such feel lighter than you would think and handle wonderfully in any kitchen. Each knife is marked with a serial number corresponding to the year it was made, and my makers mark (Shirk). I sharpen all of my knives by hand with whetstones.

Besides the regular offerings on my Square store/Etsy, I am happy to do custom work if you have a specific style in mind.
